We here at Hot Club understand the hustle and bustle of exam time. You need a break! That’s why we are offering this amazing, once-in-a-semester opportunity. Hot Club of Durham Swing Dance (Directions)
7pm: Beginner Lesson: Six County Lindy
8-11pm: Dancing!
Beginner Lesson – 6 Count Lindy – Starts at 7 pm
Similar to “East Coast Swing,” Jason Sager and Rebecca Brightly teach a lesson geared to get beginners out dancing immediately without compromising technique. This class is perfect for pure beginners and those who have learned some swing in the past.
DJs Start at 8pm
Our featured DJ this week is Rob Moreland, ambassador of inappropriate humor in the local swing dance scene. This week he’s keeping his mouth shut and spinning all the tunes your heart desires. He takes requests, but only if “I had a date like that,” sounds funny after saying the title. Nicole Deinert is backing him up as our house DJ.
